Thanksgiving Project Basket
The Florham Park PTA and the Ridgedale, Briarwood and Brooklake Schools are sponsoring a “Thanksgiving Basket Project” to benefit the Florham Park Food Pantry. From donations received, baskets containing the trimmings to make Thanksgiving dinners will be given to local families in need. Continuing in our tradition of giving, we can hopefully help them meet their needs again this year.
We will be collecting food at all of the schools from Thursday, November 1st through Thursday November 15th, 2018. In addition to traditional Thanksgiving items, the food pantry is specifically in need of the following items:
|paper towels, napkins||rice & boxed flavored rice||peanut butter,
|jarred pasta sauce||shampoo, conditioner|
|solid white tuna in water||tuna or other variety
|canned potatoes||mayonnaise||coffee & tea|
|cranberry sauce||juice||canned chicken||chili||toothpaste|
|creamed soups||gravy||chicken soup||olives||tissues|
|canned fruit||cookies||Parmalat milk||pasta||soap|
|pre-made graham cracker pie crust||pudding||brownie mix||instant potatoes|| disposable razors
There will be a food basket in each school lobby for these or any other non-perishable food items you would like to give. The food pantry also asks that expiration dates be checked prior to donation.
Please email me at the address below if you would like to donate a TURKEY or a Ham. I will collect turkeys and/or hams now and throughout the December holidays. If you wish to make a monetary contribution to put towards the purchase of turkeys and other needed food items, please send your cash or check in an envelope made out to Holy Family/ Florham Park Food Pantry and have your child bring it to the school office where there will be a Food Pantry Collection Envelope.
Please email me with any questions. As always, thank you for your generous donations and for helping others during this season!
